Join the FPCI Provider Network

Make a difference in ensuring access to quality reproductive health care for all Iowans who seek it. FPCI administers the national family planning program known as Title X for 55 counties in Iowa. Becoming a subrecipient of these funds through FPCI means your qualifying organization receives the resources and support to assist and provide clients with clinical family planning and related preventive health services, information, education, and counseling related to family planning, and referral services as indicated.

What are the Title X Qualifications?

In order to qualify as a subrecipient of Title X funds through the Family Planning Council of Iowa, organizations must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Non-Profit Status
  2. Provides a Broad Range of Contraceptive Services
  3. Commitment to Caring for All Iowans
  4. Located in a FPCI service delivery area currently not being served.

Services Provided by FPCI Subcontracting Agencies

FPCI sub-recipients provide a broad range of services, including but not limited to:

Medical Services

  • Pregnancy testing & education
  • Annual examinations
  • Birth control supplies
  • Tests & treatment for STIs
  • Basic Infertility exams, counseling, & referral
  • Tests for high blood pressure & anemia
  • Emergency contraception
  • Minor gynecological problems

Health Education

  • Birth control methods
  • Reproductive health
  • Self-exams for breast or testicular cancer
  • STIs & HIV/AIDS
  • Effects of alcohol, drugs, & tobacco on reproductive health

Information

  • How to plan a healthy pregnancy
  • How to talk with others about sexuality
  • How to make responsible sexual decisions
  • How to avoid coercive sexual activity

Community Education

  • Public speakers & educational materials
  • Parent-child communication
  • Reproductive health
  • Birth control
