Giving Tuesday | Family Planning Council of Iowa

FPCI has set a goal of raising $1000 this Giving Tuesday, and we need your help to do it! Giving Tuesday is November 28th, so please take some time before then to learn a little about the event and plan some social media posts to spread awareness and help bring in donations. I’ve included some graphics for Instagram and Facebook below!

Some Social Media Tips:

Don’t surprise people on the 28th. Post something in the days leading up to Giving Tuesday so people are expecting it and thinking about donating. Use hashtag #GivingTuesday! Don’t forget to tag us in your posts!
Personalize your posts. No one likes asking or being asked for money, but taking time to share about FPCI and why you believe in our cause can soften the request. Talk about being a member of the board, talk about the impact we have, talk about the challenges we face every day. Make it known how important our mission is to you 🙂
FPCI will also be posting throughout the day, so like and repost our posts! Hopefully, the donations roll in and we can give updates as we get closer to our goal.
The Unselfie. Giving Tuesday promotes sharing an Unselfie describing why you donate to a certain cause. I’ve included a paper you can print out and write on below, but you can also just write your message on a blank sheet of paper. Then, take a selfie of you holding the paper and post it! Don’t forget to tag FPCI! If you don’t want to post a picture of yourself, you can access the Canva links below, type out what you want to say, and post that instead! You can also invite others to share their Unselfies too!
