Join us on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 12-1 for a FREE virtual training with Heidi Wood from the University of Iowa’s Addiction and Recovery Collaborative.
Delivering whole-person, patient-centered care is essential at every healthcare interaction. Substance use disorders (SUDs) are medical conditions that often go unaddressed due to stigma, shame, or discomfort. Sexual health visits present a valuable opportunity to discuss substance use and connect patients with resources. This session will explore practical strategies for integrating SUD services into sexual healthcare encounters and highlight tools and resources available to both patients and healthcare professionals.
FREE continuing education credits are available for all attendees through the University of Iowa. Heidi will explain how to sign up to receive the credits during the training, so you will not need to do anything beforehand.
